As someone who had postpartum depression that was actually missed-diagnosed ADHD, this resonated squarely with me. I appreciate that you had two different experiences to draw from. This is exactly what I would have wanted to know if I had a chance for a do-over. (I have two teenagers and no desire to start again, LOL)
Thanks for this. I feel this more with postpartum and work. Managing pumping and my schedule is a lot. My postpartum project was getting my hair to look nice in less time. Kind of silly but fun!
I, too, was diagnosed with PPMDs (anxiety/OCD) when looking back it was clearly ADHD. The Mary Poppins mom I envisioned would have breastfed and homeschooled. Instead I stopped nursing at 3mo and we started my daughter in 3 full days of preschool at 2.5! Preschool has been great for her and me!
