My cycles have cycles. Imagine having multiple bikes and every once in awhile one is out of commission and you have to choose between one of the others. That's what happens to me on occasion.
I haven't quite noticed a pattern to my cycles yet I know they exist. Still working on how long they typically last and their other features. Thankfully, I can recognize that I've switched cycles because it often feels like I'm getting on and off them blindfolded.
Working on being able to distinguish one from another is something I'm going to have to work on with my therapist.
Part of the problem is that when I was a kid I was known for getting up early and being a "morning" person even when I sometimes went to bed late. Once I got into college schedules changed and my sleep patterns started to change. The older I've gotten the more difficult it has become to maintain a consistent sleep schedule which a part of addressing my schedules because I need a bit more consistent sleep schedule to help with other issues or so I've been told. I hope that makes sense.
"For one week, rate your energy 1-10 every few hours. You'll discover your pattern. Maybe you're sharp 9-11am but crash at 2pm. "
I did this "heat mapping" some years before I actually knew I had ADHD and built schedules around it. Knowing I'm at my most productive between 10.00 and 12.00 incentives especially me to be at my desk by 09.30. I nap around 16.30 for 25 minutes and then go again.

Awesome! It really does help having an idea of what times of the day you're most productive.
